Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has issued instructions for the removal of all hurdles in the way of the Dasu Power Project, a news source reported. He instructed the authorities concerned to work on land acquisition and quick completion of the project.
Vawda was chairing the 12th meeting of the steering committee on Dasu Power Project. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan was also present at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the progress of the project since the previous meeting. The federal minister said that the construction of dams is the top priority of the present government. He instructed that land for the project should be acquired quickly and assured the project team of support in removal of all road blocks.
The total output of Dasu Power Project will be 4,320 megwatts and will have 12 generating units.
