Rawalpindi: A remodelling and renovation project for Ammar Chowk has been approved by the Punjab Development Working Party, according to a news report. The project will begin next month and will be completed by the end of the year. Ammar Chowk required immediate attention because traffic jams had become an issue there, an official was quoted as saying.
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will be working on this project. According to the report, the project will cost PKR 675 million, and the Punjab Government has already released PKR 129 million for it. The remaining amount will be provided through the annual budget this year, and will be released as required.
