Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has announced the completion of the remodelling of Kalma Chowk and Bakra Mandi carpeting projects at the cost of PKR 30 million, according to news published on Wednesday (October 6).

According to Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) spokesperson, the cantonment board authorities were trying to complete different development projects within a short period. He went on to say that the RCB President Brig. Ijaz Qamar Kiani directed the relevant authorities to ensure quality and expedite the construction work on ongoing development projects.
Furthermore, it was reported that the president has ordered the authorities concerned to remove hand-carts and encroachments to provide relief to locals. On the directives of RCB Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Umar Farooq Ali Malik, has accelerated anti-encroachment operation. Sharing details about the campaign, it was mentioned that 132 truckloads of goods were confiscated during the first three months.

Moreover, it was revealed that the anti-encroachment operation was being conducted on daily basis. RCB President Kiani has advised the citizens not to violate rules and strict action will be taken against violators.
