Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has started to prepare a list of traders affected by the on-going Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project for the purpose of giving a special relief package, reported a news source. For exemption of taxes imposed at federal level, and concession in electricity and Sui Gas bills, the provincial government has decided to reach out to the federal government.
On the instructions of the provincial government, contractors engaged for the project called for additional workforce to complete the project in the committed timeframe of six months. According to the news report, construction work is being carried out 24 hours a day. In the meanwhile, discussion on the special relief package for owners of the shops located in Peshawar City, Cantonment, and University Town area is underway.
