Taxila: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Saturday (January 1) disclosed that rehabilitation work on Grand Trunk (G.T. Road) from Attock bridge to Wah Cantt will start soon, according to news sources.

As per the details, work on the PKR 1 billion projects is expected to start in February and will be completed in four months. SAPM Aslam, while speaking to the media about the government’s flagship housing initiative, stated that PKR 100 billion has been approved for the housing loan scheme by private banks under the housing finance subsidy scheme commonly known as ‘Mera Pakistan, Mera Ghar’. He further added that the banks have so far distributed PKR 32 billion among the applicants. It was reported that on average the banks were approving PKR 4.2 billion and disbursing PKR 1.7 billion a week.

Moreover, the PM’s aide mentioned that a 10-year record for agriculture production has been broken with the help of the government’s policies, which benefited farmers across the country.
