Sargodha: Tehsil Sargodha Sub Registrar Waqas Marth has announced the placement of a ban on the registration of illegal housing schemes, a news source reported. He also directed the authorities concerned to continue the operation against land encroachers, and build parks and playgrounds in the city.

Marth shared this information while speaking to media representatives at the Electronic Media Club. He also revealed that the Government of Punjab has sought suggestions from various departments on launching a number of development projects. Work on pending projects in Sargodha will resume soon, he added.

The sub registrar further shared the details of the land retrieved from encroachers. In these operations, the authorities have reportedly freed thousands acres of land from illegal occupations. The provincial government has asked for suggestions on putting this land to proper use.

Some of this land will feature graveyards and parks. As per officials, a proposal to sell the remaining land to generate revenue is also under consideration.
Marth further remarked that the departments mentioned have shared their suggestions on resuming and launching new development projects in Sargodha.
