Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan has announced his intention to resolve issues pertaining to the provision of utility services to the residents of Regi Model Town on a priority basis, a news source reported.

The CM shared this information while addressing a meeting held in the housing society and stated that the KP government was keen on completing the development work in Regi Model Town. For this purpose, matters regarding provision of gas, electricity, laying of sewerage lines, development of approach road, acquisition of land and construction of the entry gate will be addressed soon.

CM Khan went on to express his hope that the government could use the developmental work required at Regi Model Town to generate employment opportunities. He added that matters regarding the supply of gas to the housing scheme will be discussed with the federal government, while other matters including laying of the sewerage network and construction of an approach road, would be carried out by the provincial government.

The CM concluded by saying that the Peshawar Development Authority had been directed to attend to matters concerning land disputes within the society in a timely manner.
