Lahore: Massive reforms have been planned for Lahore Development Authority (LDA), under which a human resource (HR) system will be introduced for the first time in 44 years, a news source reported. The administration department will also be reorganised under these reforms.

A special committee is preparing recommendations for the project. According to the notification issued by the Vice Chairman LDA Secretariat, one of the agency’s governing body members, Major (retd.) Syed Burhan Ali will head the committee.

The committee will present its recommendations on the HR system. Once the relevant authorities approve it, the system will be introduced. LDA officials and staff will be promoted under the new system.
An international consultancy firm will also be hired for the introduction of the new system, for which the offers will be advertised in international newspapers.
