Gujranwala: The local government has issued recovery notices to 6,000 owners of illegal homes and shops around the city, a news source reported. The notices were issued on the directions of the Commissioner Gujranwala.
The authorities have also decided to take action against the defaulters who are yet to make the payments.

The buildings were identified through a survey of the city conducted on the instructions of the Commissioner Gujranwala. This survey was conducted by the building inspectors. These 6,000 owners owe the government PKR 2 billion approximately.
The list of these defaulters have also been posted on the local government’s website, so that these owners do not get defrauded out of their money illegally.
These owners have been allowed a week to make the payments. If the dues are not cleared within that time, action will be taken against these owners and cases will be registered against them as well.
