Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) reviewed ongoing development projects in the province and set realistic timelines for their completion, according to the news sources. The decision on deadlines was taken in a high-level meeting that was chaired by KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Federal Minister for Power Umar Ayub Khan on Thursday.

Multiple progressive schemes concerning the supplication of natural gas, electricity, infrastructure and communication projects underway in the region were discussed during the meeting. Most of these projects are planned for less developed districts and recently merged tribal districts, including Chitral, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur, Hangu, Dir, Khyber, Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar and Sawabi.

The KP Chief Minister Khan addressed the attendees of the meeting and briefed them about the priorities of the provincial government. He stressed that in order to produce the much desired tangible results, practical steps must be undertaken to ensure timely project completions.
