Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)’s budget of PKR 1.913 billion for 2017-18 has been approved, according to a news source. Rawalpindi Acting Commissioner Mehmood Gondal approved the budget.
Of the entire PKR 1.913 billion budget, Punjab Government has given PKR 1.680 billion under the Punjab annual development program for schemes to uplift the city. This amount will be spent on development works, including the remodelling of the I.J.P. Road Junction, construction of Liaquat Bagh signal-free movement, development of Murree Road’s Marrir Chowk, expansion of Qadeer Khan Road, construction, and widening of Dry Port Road, and remodelling of Ammar Chowk.
Reportedly, RDA will generate PKR 235 million from different fees. This amount will be spent on non-development expenses.
