Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is yet to hire a consultant to design the 20-year master plan for the city of Rawalpindi, a news source reported. The decision to hire this consultant was made during a meeting of the RDA governing body held on July 30.

The meeting discussed various other things, including the regularisation and promotion of employees. In order to obtain a loan against properties located inside private housing schemes, a No Objection Certificate from RDA is now necessary.

Additionally, the meeting approved the revision of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) supply and construction of the RDA Complex Tower along with two multi-storey commercial buildings. It was also decided that construction plans for multi-storey buildings within RDA’s jurisdiction would not be approved without the payment of PKR 150,000 per kanal. This will be the fee for sewerage infrastructure.
