Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has warned developers of five unauthorised housing societies of facing strict action if they didn’t stop illegal advertisement and development work, reported a news source. These illegal housing schemes are located on Adyala Road, Defence Road, Taxila Road, Damyal Road, and Chakri Road.
In addition to warning the developers, the RDA advises people to refrain from making an investment in these societies and projects. The civic body has also requested the utility service providers to not extend services to these illegal developments.
According to the RDA Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Director Jamshaid Aftad, the notices to the developers have been issued under sections of Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Sub-division Rules 2010, according to which strict action in accordance with law will be taken in case illegal development work and advertisement isn’t stopped immediately.
