Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to take action against 209 illegal housing societies, according to a news report. The marketing campaigns of these housing schemes will also be immediately stopped.
RDA has also asked all the utility providers including IESCO and PTCL to not provide services to these housing schemes. Challans will also be issued against these housing societies and cases will be registered against them. These are housing schemes that have not met the requirements of RDA, so RDA has declared them illegal.
The illegal housing schemes include 36 projects from RDA, 87 from Potohar Town, 53 from Murree, 6 from Gojar Khan, and 22 societies from Taxila.
