For this purpose, RDA Chairman Arif Ali Abbasi has formed a special survey team under the supervision of Metropolitan Town Planning and Traffic Engineering Director Tahir Mayo.
As per the report, the survey will help the RDA to determine instances in which the developers of these housing schemes have not arranged for the civic amenities and facilities (schools, parks, masjid, graveyard, commercial area, hospitals etc.) detailed in their master plans, or have failed to allocate suitable plots for their development.

In addition, the study would also aid in the discovery of the size of land in the developers’ possession.
By conducting this survey, the RDA plans to ensure the investments security of the people who have purchased plots in these schemes. Furthermore, the authority also aims to identify any violations of building bylaws and take subsequent action – which may involve the imposition of legal penalties.
Further, the news report revealed that the developers of many private housing schemes in the above-mentioned areas have been found to have breached the said building regulations; thereby causing revenue losses for the development authority.
