Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Board on Saturday stated that private housing schemes would not be allowed to change their names following the approval of their layout plans, according to news sources.

The board members further said that private housing schemes that plan on changing their names before the approval of the layout plans will have to get clearance from the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). It was also decided ‘to fix the water, ground floor rate charges for the second and third-storey buildings’.

These decisions were announced at the 51st meeting of the RDA governing body; presided over by RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza. Moreover, it was also announced that a consultant will be hired for the financial and topographical survey of the RDA housing scheme. The governing body also approved to outsource a security firm to guard the RDA premises.
