An RDA official said that the civic agency would conduct a survey of major roads in Rawalpindi. Additionally, it would work on a strategy to declare these roads as suitable for one-way traffic.
Previously, the civic agency built U-turns on Murree Road to avoid traffic congestion. The traffic engineering wing of the RDA would survey roads and then recommend the construction of U-turns from Liaquat Bagh to Naz Cinema.
RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi said that the development authority would make utmost efforts to improve traffic flow on main roads. A plan to this effect would be presented before the governing body soon.
