Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) delegation, led by Director General Saif Anwar Jappa, visited the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) offices to discuss record digitalisation and the transition to soft infrastructure, as reported by a new source on January 17.

According to the details, the DG informed the RDA delegation about the LDA’s commitment to implementing new measures for more efficient services. Notably, the LDA has successfully digitalised 10 schemes, with ongoing efforts to extend this digitalisation to the remaining schemes. The overarching goal of these IT-based reforms is to enhance service delivery for urban residents.

During the briefing, the RDA delegation was also apprised of successful models of various signal-free corridors in Lahore. DG Randhawa highlighted completed signal-free corridors, such as those from Jinnah Hospital to Peco Road and Nazaria Pakistan Road, which have significantly improved traffic flow. Implementing U-turns and signal-free corridors was also acknowledged for its positive impact on traffic management.
