Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has recorded a total inflow of USD 3.632 billion through Roshan Digital Account (RDA), news sources reported. Of the total, USD 250 million were sent in February 2022 alone.

According to an SBP study, inflows increased by 12% in February as compared to the previous month’s total of USD 222 million. Additionally, the total number of RDA account holders has increased to 365,182. Accounts were opened at a 6.6 % higher rate in February 2022, than in January 2022.
The said SBP report also highlighted various RDA products for which the funds were received. They are reported as follows:
The Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) received the majority of the RDA total inflow, accounting for 68.6% of the USD 3.632 billion (NPCs). The conventional NPCs received USD 1,352 million of the overall inflow, while the Islamic NPCs received USD 1,142 million.
Through RDAs, USD 35 million, or 1% of total funds, has entered the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)

It is important to note that the RDA scheme was launched in September 2020. The project now offers multiple products for the overseas Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs). These products include Roshan Apna Ghar, Roshan Apni Car, Roshan Samaji Khidmat and Naya Pakistan Certificates.
