In this regard, the authority has, reportedly, held meetings with developers of five housing schemes. RDA Chairman Tariq Murtaza, without naming the developers, said that these societies’ representatives have been suggested to construct interchanges on major road avenues passing close to their projects at their own cost. The sources claim that the developers have sought time to think over the proposal and conduct a feasibility study to ascertain its various aspects.

By allowing the construction of these interchanges, the RDA expects to reduce traffic load on the connected road network. This, at the same time, will also provide faster and easier access to the residents of these societies. In addition, this will also help reduce the financial load on the government to develop the needed infrastructure facilities.
