Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday (September 21) razed three site offices of illegal housing projects and sealed five sites offices, according to news sources.

According to a spokesperson, RDA launched an operation against unauthorised constructions and unapproved housing schemes. He further added that notices were issued to the owners of illegal housing schemes under the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010. Also, cases were registered with the police against the owners for operating site offices of the housing projects.

RDA requests the citizens not to invest in illegal housing schemes. The citizens are requested to be diligent and check the status of the approved housing schemes on the authority’s website. The spokesperson stated that RDA has asked Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL), PTCL, and Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) not to provide services to unapproved schemes.
