Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sent a list of cooperative housing societies to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for forensic audit, states a news source. The list not only includes projects that fall in RDA’s domain but also those from many other cities in Punjab.
Among the 25 registered housing societies that fall in RDA’s jurisdiction, only 17 have been approved by the authority, while issuance of approval for two societies is under process. Among the unapproved societies, six are allegedly illegal. In addition to that, RDA has also included a total of 19 cooperative housing societies in that list sent to FIA officials, which aren’t, reportedly, registered with any development authority.
