Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) recently issued legal notices to the developers of three illegal housing schemes in Murree, a news source reported. As per the publication, the authority is also looking to register FIRs against the accused, on the charges that they defrauded the public.

As per the information available, these housing schemes are located in the jurisdiction of the RDA but they haven’t procured an NOC. One of these societies is located in Jhika Gali and the other two near the Patriata Chairlift.

The notices have been issued under the Punjab Private Housing Scheme and Land Sub Division Rules 2010. At the same time, the RDA has warned people against investing in such projects that have been declared illegal by the government authority. Furthermore, the developers have been instructed to refrain from marketing these projects and selling their properties to the public prior to meeting the pre-set legal requirements.
