The commissioner, who last week asked the authority to cancel the consultancy process for RRR project and invite new applications, was requested to provide additional guidelines after five firms submitted pre-qualification bids.
The Punjab government recently appointed Commissioner Ayaz as the acting director general of the civic agency. After assuming the charge, the new DG RDA identified irregularities in the previous procurement process.
It is pertinent to mention that the civic agency had invited expressions of interest from private firms in February. As many as 26 companies, subsequently, submitted their applications. In a follow-up round, the RDA shortlisted six companies from the grouping.
