Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared 157 housing schemes illegal and has formally requested the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Revenue to impose a ban on the sale and purchase of plots within these projects.
According to a letter issued by RDA’s Director of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering, Tahir Mayo, the schemes in question had initially applied for approval from RDA and the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) but later withdrew their applications and proceeded with development unlawfully.
