Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority has accumulated PKR 491 million revenue during the financial year 2020-21, according to news published on Friday.

The revenue collected by the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, RDA, and Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing has exceeded the target of PKR 335 million.
A spokesperson, whose name was not mentioned, claimed that the MU&BC Wing received PKR 341 million during the current fiscal year, while the MP&TE Directorate generated PKR 150 million.
He further stated that the RDA is taking strict action against the unlawful building and housing plans in accordance with the directions of RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro. It was also stated that 1,435 construction designs were submitted for approval by citizens, the highest in RDA history.
According to the spokesman, penalties were levied on offenders, and charges were filed against both residential and commercial illegal building and illegal housing projects.

Furthermore, the spokesman added that the RDA DG welcomed the efforts and requested the officials to act unbiasedly.
