Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has prepared a detailed action plan against illegal housing societies situated in the city, a news source reported. As per officials, the development authority intends to dismantle the utility connections installed these unauthorised schemes.

According to details, the RDA officials plan to submit formal requests to the departments concerned with regard to the implementation of its drive. It will ask the managements of these institutions to disconnect the utility supplies of the housing schemes in question.

Previously, the RDA had commenced with its operation against illegal residential projects. Further, it had warned the city’s residents against making investments in unapproved residential societies. The civic agency recently issued notices to the developers of illegal housing societies – asking them to refrain from carrying out advertisements of their unauthorised projects.
