Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)’s Land Development Wing has completed the plantation of 2,000 plant saplings in the city, news sources reported on July 20. The saplings were planted in eight different housing societies across the city.

According to reports, RDA Director General (DG) Capt (r) Tahir Zafar Abbasi had previously asked the concerned department to plant trees to improve the city’s ecology and transform its urban landscape. The trees were planted in eight local housing schemes. It is worth mentioning that RDA has been involved in tree plantation and green initiatives and provided kitchen gardening tools to 500 citizens around the city earlier this year.
