Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has announced launching a campaign to restore the Raja Bazaar and its surroundings to uplift the lifestyle of its residents, improve the traffic flow and highlight the cultural and tourism potential of the place, according to a post published on the authority’s Facebook page on August 6.

To this effect, a meeting was held at the RDA office which was attended by Director General (DG) Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA) Kamran Lashari, among other RDA officials.

RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza addressed the meeting and said that with the suggestions of WCLA director general, the authority will work to promote tourism activities and highlight the importance of cultural heritage in the historic city. He said that research work and development plans to ease traffic flow and restoration of dilapidated roads will soon be worked out.
