Rawalpindi: The newly appointed Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Chaudhry Maqbool Ahmed has shared details regarding the mechanisms devised for the regularization of illegally developed shops and business arcades in the plazas that do not have permission to develop such facilities, according to a news report shared in national dailies on December 24.
According to the RDA DG, the owners of such shops and business arcades can regularise the properties by paying a composition fee. He mentioned that the authority had a clear policy in place against illegal construction activities under its administered areas.

Talking about the planned mega projects in the city, Ahmed stated that all related procedures to initiate development on the Rawalpindi Ring Road and Leh Expressway projects would be started right away. He further affirmed that he would ensure that the development of the said projects is completed in a timely manner.
