Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has released an updated list of all the illegal residential schemes within its jurisdiction, news sources reported on January 8. A total of 275 illegal and 68 fake residential schemes have been discovered in various regions of the Rawalpindi Division.

According to RDA, the government has prohibited the issuance of No-Objection Certificates (NOC) to new housing societies, and no NOCs will be provided until the restriction is reversed. The list includes the names of 275 illegal housing schemes in Kotli Sattian, Taxila, Jando, Fateh Jhang Road, Jalala, Niko, Wani, Paswal, Bajjar, Katia, Jhal Yari, New Murree, Patriata, Jhika Gali, Baroha, Manga, Angori, Nimbal, Khatar, Ghora Gali, Masyari Expressway, Chattar, Charlot, Salgar. Moreover, the investigation exposes the presence of 68 bogus housing plans in various regions of Chakri.

Furthermore, the RDA spokesperson stated that the agency has devised a comprehensive plan to combat all fraudulent and unlawful housing projects. Cases will be filed against individuals who have plundered innocent persons and defrauded them of their hard-earned money through their actions.
