Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has announced the development of two affordable projects under the Apna Ghar Scheme, reported a news source. The housing schemes are aimed at low-wage employees and deserving people hailing from District Rawalpindi.

The housing projects, along with an agriculture farm scheme, will be developed under a public-private partnership arrangement. To this effect, the RDA formally invited expressions of interest (EOIs) from property owners back on January 23.
Reportedly, RDA has proposed 11 sites for the said projects. These include:
- Adyala Road
- Kallar Syedan Road
- Chakri Road
- GT Road
- Chak Beli Khan Road
- Fateh Jang Road
- Kahuta Road
- Lahore-Islamabad Motorway M-2
- Murree Expressway
- Mandra Road
- Chakwal Road

As per the RDA’s plans, the final site picked for the project will be within a radius of 45 kilometers from District Court. According to RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi, the plots in the said schemes will be offered on easy terms and payment plans. RDA will develop the two projects, which are expected to feature a range of housing facilities.
