The survey will determine the number of unlawful housing schemes in the city and buildings constructed without prior approval from the relevant authorities. According to an RDA spokesperson, the directives in this regard were issued by RDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa during his visit to Adiala Road.
The DG took strong notice of the illegal constructions and directed a First Investigation Report (FIR) to be filed against the developers of illegal buildings on violation of the RDA regulations. The authorities were also ordered to dismantle the unlawfully built shops on Adiala Road. Japppa later ordered the concerned departments to conduct a survey to check unlawful residential and commercial buildings, commercialization, complimentary maps and plans of the buildings.
