Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Authority (RDA) recently made the decision to initiate a kitchen gardening project that is expected to be executed with the help of the city’s residents, according to news sources.
The department is providing free seedlings and flowering pots to the citizens in a bid to popularize the habit of growing one’s own vegetables. The local population will also get pamphlets that are designed to guide them through the basic processes involved in setting-up a kitchen garden.

All the necessary tools and materials required by the citizens will be provided by RDA employees, who will distribute these instruments by going door-to-door. In order to incentivize the campaign, a competition will also be held for the best kitchen garden, and prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners.
