Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday issued final warning notices to five illegal housing schemes operating in the city, a news source reported. The owners of these schemes were ordered by the RDA to immediately halt any ongoing developmental and construction work, along with all advertisements for these illegal projects.

RDA spokesperson Hafiz Irfan stated that the Directorate of Metropolitan Planning and Engineering was taking strict action against any illegal work being carried out in the city. They were doing so under the leadership of Chairman Arif Abbasi, who had ordered employees to be vigilant and follow the letter of the law.

The authority was issuing notices to possible offenders under the framework of the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010.
