Rawalpindi: The Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Raja Mohammad Basharat has asked Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to prepare a plan for the development of the city within 15 days, a news source reported. The minister was reviewing the working RDA along with various other agencies including Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Parks and Horticultural Authority (PHA), the district administration, District Council and the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) in a meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of these agencies, among other high officials. He asked RDA and other agencies to prepare a comprehensive plan to be presented in 15 days. He also instructed PHA to prepare a plan for the beautification of Murree Road.
The district administration has also been asked to prepare a list of old historical buildings that need preservation, particularly to promote tourism.
A briefing would also be held on the Ring Road among other projects after which the government will decide to proceed on these projects.
The minister was also presented a report on the anti-encroachment drive by the city administration, who instructed the administration to continue the operation indiscriminately.
