Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza on Wednesday stated that the authority will facilitate traders in establishing units in the economic zones along the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) route, a news source reported.
He added that one of the purposes of developing the economic zones along RRR was to decongest the city. He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting held at the RDA office. He further stated that the business community is the backbone of the national economy.
He said that the ring road will open a new chapter of development for the city and it will serve as a major pull factor for businesses looking to relocate to the South West direction. It is also expected that the ring road will serve to steer development and growth of the city on modern town planning practices.
