RDA extends deadline to submit EOI for Rawalpindi Master Plan

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) spokesperson has announced extension in the submission date of the expression of interests (EOIs) for selection of consultant for Rawalpindi Master Plan and the third-party audit of the housing societies in the public interest, according to news sources.

Amid the coronavirus disease threat in the country, the RDA has also rescheduled the parking plaza auction. The revised dates are as follows:

• The new date for the submission of EOI for Rawalpindi Masterplan consultation is April 20, 2020.
• The new date for the submission of EOI for third party audit of the private housing schemes is April 18, 2020.
• The new date for the parking plaza auction is April 09, 2020.

Previously, RDA had announced its decision to launch a third-party survey into 48 private residential schemes in the district to verify if they had complied with the bylaws and construction regulations. Also, the authority had invited bids to lease out the multi-storey parking plaza located at Fawara Chowk. The annual contract of plaza expired in February 2020.
