Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has devised a plan to increase its revenue streams by constructing commercial real estate projects on all its owned plots, news sources reported on February 24.

According to sources, RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa said that the strategy aims to stabilize the financial situation of the authority and make it economically self-sufficient and self-fund its development work in the future. He said that the authority will construct a commercial building consisting of a basement plus three stories on an 11-marla commercial plot owned by the RDA in the Civil Lines neighbour will also start work on the RDA Mega Complex project near Murree Road to establish a business hub in the region.

Additionally, the auction process for awarding the contract for building the three-floor parking garage in the unfinished parking plaza at Fawara Chowk will resume and be finished based on the building’s maximum capacity and market pricing
