Previously, the civic agency had sought the assistance of the deputy commissioner for this purpose. The said societies are situated in Mouza Pind Gonda, Mouza Jahando, Mouza Anwar Chowk, Mouza Lab Thutoo, and Mouza Sarga.
To provide any untoward incident, the deputy commissioner has also directed the local police department to assist the officials concerned with the operation.
According to the RDA, the housing schemes in question were established without its approval. The management of these societies is involved in the sale and purchase of land – a practice deemed illegal under the bylaws prescribed by the civic agency.
