Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Director General (RDA) Chaudhry Maqbool Ahmed on Monday received a briefing on the ‘Preparation of Regional Development Plan and Peri-Urban Structure Plans’ for the Rawalpindi District, a news source reported.

Project Consultant Mott MacDonald provided the briefing during a meeting held at the RDA’s conference room. RDA Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Shahzad Haider, Deputy Director Engineering Azizullah, Deputy Director Finance Junaid Taj Bhatti, and other officials concerned were all present on the occasion.
The project consultant stated that he would take all necessary measures to carry out field surveys and collect data for the project. In response, the RDA DG directed the officials concerned to provide all possible support to the project consultant.

Moreover, the attendees agreed to organise another meeting towards the end of the going week in order to apprise project details to RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, Assistant Commissioners/Administrators of Municipal and Tehsils Councils, and other officials concerned.
