Rawalpindi: In a drive launched against illegal structures in the city, the Rawalpindi Development Authority demolished four buildings and a boundary wall in a private housing society in Rawat, according to a news source. These structures were constructed on land originally marked as green areas in its map.
In addition to that, the authority also sealed four shops constructed illegally on Airport Road. The operation was carried out by the RDA staff with the help of police under Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building & Zoning Regulations Act 2007, according to RDA spokesman, Hafiz Muhammad Irfan.
