Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) completed a survey on public demand to determine the status of housing societies developed in its jurisdiction. It found that 31 housing societies in the city do not have an NOC, according to a news source. The survey was conducted by Rawalpindi Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering Directorate.
According to the survey results, out of the 36 illegal societies, eight fall in Mauza Kulian, four in Adiala, two in Kalari, three in Kot Jibi, two in Kotha Kalan, and two in Chaklala. The survey results also showed that 44 housing societies in the areas, which fall under the RDA’s jurisdiction, have acquired an NOC from the development authority.
The authority will be cracking down on societies that do not meet the requirements for an NOC. The offices of the same will be sealed, according to the notification.
