Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) director general, who is also the Rawalpindi commissioner, has asked the Manpower, Personal Training and Education (MPT&E) Directorate to prepare and present an action plan regarding illegal housing societies in Rawalpindi in one week, stated a news report.
According to details, MPT&E sources have already closed the offices of such housing societies and told utility providers to stop accommodating them. Reportedly, district officers and officials from the Overseas Pakistanis Federation have also been told to launch a campaign against such projects to keep overseas Pakistanis from investing there.
MPT&E has asked the RDA to devise a policy for housing schemes that were launched before the establishment of the RDA, and provide an outline on which of the schemes can be regularised. Reportedly, MPT&E has started preparing a report in this regard, which will be presented to the RDA director general.
