While talking to the media, the chairman stated that the authority had a window at its office to provide guidance to people regarding the aforementioned housing societies. He added that not all websites were trustworthy since some were involved in the sale and purchase of plots in illegal housing projects.
Furthermore, the RDA chairman said that unlawful housing societies had been looting overseas Pakistanis, who often ended up trusting unreliable web portals. He went on to say that the chairman had also sent letters to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block and impose fines on websites that promoted illegal housing schemes.
