Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has provided its approval to the establishment of 10 economic zones along the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project route, according to a news report published on December 11. The said decision was taken at a meeting chaired by RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza.

The meeting was also attended by the members of Chambers of Commerce and Industries of the twin cities and other officials of the civic agency.
It was highlighted that the development work on these economic zones alongside RRR will be launched as soon as possible. Moreover, the RDA chairman opined that the business community is the backbone of the country’s economy and steps are being taken to facilitate it in every manner as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He further stated that the development work on the RRR initiative was being executed on a priority basis to address the problems presently being faced by the business community.
