Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has approved a PKR 16,449 million budget fiscal year (FY) 2020-21, news sources reported. The development authority’s Subcommittee on Finance granted the approval on Wednesday (May 27) during a meeting chaired by RDA Director General Ammara Khan.
According to details, the subcommittee provided its approval to the inclusion of 11 development schemes in the budget proposal. These schemes will be completed during the upcoming fiscal year.

For this purpose, funds worth PKR 18.51 million have been earmarked for conducting the feasibility study of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project (RRR) and funds worth PKR 57,000 for project construction. Moreover, the civic agency sanctioned PKR 6,000 million for acquiring the RRR project land.

- Construction of Leh Expressway and its flood channel
- Construction of Lehtrar Road
- Construction of two parking floors on Fawara Chowk Plaza
- Expansion of Dry Port Road
- Liaqat Bagh-Mareer Chow Signal Free Road project
- Rawalpindi Master Plan
- Remodeling of Kacheri Chowk and Defence Chowk
- Construction of a pedestrian bridge and a road linking Ammar Shaheed Chowk and Islamabad International Airport
- Construction and expansion of Link Tipu Road to Airport Road,
- Construction and expansion of Qadeer Road
