As per the details, the director general directed the Rawalpindi District Council, Rawalpindi Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Rawalpindi Tehsil Councils, and Cantonment Board to only permit the publishing of advertisements after the housing societies have obtained NOCs from RDA.
Moreover, the DG Jappa highlighted the mushroom growth of private housing schemes in all parts of Rawalpindi District. It was mentioned that many developers advertise their housing projects and cases of the land-sub division before approval or permission from the authority. The DG further mentioned that the developers attract investment by developing catchy banners and streamers. Also, they share commercials on social media to sell plots of illegal housing schemes.
