Previously, the civic agency had received reports of massive irregularities and encroachments on state land by the said housing societies. It had also received reports of corruption in RDA-owned markets.
RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi said that the authority had sought the assistance of a third-party for conducting the forensic audit. He also notified that the civic agency plans to launch a grand operation in light of these findings.
Furthermore, he said that the RDA aimed to issue red notices to the occupants of the properties built on encroached land. The civic agency would ask these individuals to vacate the land voluntarily within two weeks.
