The RDA master plan will be prepared in collaboration with the local government and will designate separate areas for housing schemes, industries, and the central business district.
Speaking to the media, RDA Chairman Saif Anwar Jappa stated that under the new plan, agricultural land would be preserved for the environment, with industries confined to separate and designated areas. He said no industry will be allowed to work outside the demarcated zones, with special provisions to protect the environment from pollution. He also asked citizens to give their suggestions for the Periurban Structure Plan (PSP) and site development zones (SDZ) via the RDA website.
